The Railroad Police Officers’ Association is a non-profit organization that represents the sworn men and women of Railroad Police community. The specific purpose of the association is to facilitate and operate a support and general assistance benefit fund for railroad police officers, as well as a general assistance benefit fund for spouses, widows, dependents, and next of kin of the active railroad police officers that have been hurt, harmed, disabled, and/or have made the ultimate sacrifice. Moreover, the association also exists for the promotion and advancement of railroad law enforcement in a professional and positive manner, showcasing the Railroad Police to the general public through educational endeavors and general community outreach.
Through the RRPOA, members are provided criminal and civil defense coverage for on-duty incidents arising out of the course and scope of their employment as railroad police officers by skilled legal defense attorneys.
The RRPOA is not a union or association designed to argue for wages or benefits, and does not engage in collective bargaining.
